Pre Shoot Checklist
Before the Shoot

To ensure we showcase your property in the best light, please complete the following steps before our photographer arrives. If you have any questions or special requests, please email us at pablo@mediacompassphoto.com or text/call 480-543-9628.
General Preparation:
Open all drapes and blinds completely or pull them up.
Turn off all ceiling fans.
Turn on all overhead lights and lamps.
Open all doors between rooms and close closets unless they are large walk-ins.
Remove all evidence of pets, including water/food bowls and beds.
Clear rugs from floors, especially those on tile or wood floors.
Dust fans and surfaces.
Replace any burnt-out light bulbs, ensuring matching color temperatures.
Declutter shoes, toys, umbrellas, remotes, mail, etc.
Depersonalize by removing family photos/portraits.
Ensure all beds are made, with items tucked under not visible.
Exterior Preparation:
Trim the grass, pick up toys, and scoop pet waste.
Clean windows inside and out to avoid streaks or haze.
Remove vehicles from the driveway and away from the front of the home.
Place trash barrels inside the garage or out of sight.
Hide pool cleaning supplies, pool toys, and floats.
Uncover BBQ grill and patio furniture.
Kitchen Preparation:
Clear all countertops, including any sink and cleaning supplies.
Remove all magnets, schedules, pictures, calendars, etc., from the refrigerator.
Remove any small appliances, including toasters and blenders.
Bathroom Preparation:
Ensure toilet lids are down.
Clear countertops of all personal items; decorative soaps are okay.
Hide cleaning brushes and trash cans.
Hide bath mats and rugs.
Close shower curtains or clean glass and remove personal items.
Ensure no empty rolls of toilet paper are visible.
